**PLEASE NOTE**
Every insurance plan is different. What each plan covers can vary from organization to organization. Please check your coverage including what titles they cover and how much coverage you get.
We would love to for all our clinicians to be able to direct bill all insurance providers. Unfortunately, not all providers make this possible. If you are working with a clinician who cannot direct bill your insurance company and you would like this service, please talk to your insurance provider. If enough clients ask that their clinician be able to direct bill the insurance the provider may "turn the service on" for more providers.
Even if a clinician is authorized to direct bill an insurance provider, this does not mean every insurance plan offered by that insurance company will cover every type of mental health therapist. It is up to the client to check with their insurance provider regarding requirements for clinician qualifications to receive coverage.
If we cannot direct bill your insurance provider, your clinician will provide you with a receipt at the end of each session that you can submit for reimbursement. Our client's tell us that most other insurance providers reimburse clients via direct deposit within 3-5 business days.

We also have the ability to direct bill the following insurance providers as long as your plan covers counselling. If it does not cover counselling you will need to submit the receipt for reimbursement.

EAP is a service provided by your organization that can provide you with short-term support for your mental health.

If you wish to use this service, please call the intake centre for your EAP provider and request Michelle Neustaedter Counselling as your provider. We will assign you to the appropriate provider when we receive your referral.
If you don't see your insurance provider here, that doesn't mean your counselling isn't covered, It just means we haven't worked with your provider in a direct billing capacity.

If you have insurance through Alberta Blue Cross, please provide us with your AB BlueCross Information and we will be happy to submit you claim on your behalf.
If your benefits are with Manulife, and your plan covers counselling services, please provide us with your Manulife Information and we will be happy to submit you claim on your behalf.
If your plan does not cover counselling services you can still submit the receipt yourself for reimbursement. If you are receiving services from Nivedita, Calen, Michelle, or Candace, please choose "psychology" services in your portal.
If you are receiving services from one of our interns when submitting your receipt in the Manulife portal please choose "Service Not Listed" and upload your receipt. *** VERY IMPORTANT - If you choose "Psychology Services" they will reject your receipt as an automated system will search for their numbers in the CAP database and they will not be found. We want you to get reimbursed. Interns come up as Clinical Counsellors, Canadian Certified Counsellors, or Psychotherapists.
If you are receiving services from Nivedita, Calen, Michelle, or Candace, please select "psychology services when submitting your receipts.
If you are receiving services from one of our interns when submitting your receipt in the Sunlife portal please make sure that you choose "Clinical Counselling" or "Psychotherapy" depending on what your plan covers and upload your receipt.
*** VERY IMPORTANT - If you choose "Psychology Services" they will reject your receipt as an automated system will search for their numbers in the CAP database and they will not be found. We want you to get reimbursed.
We can Direct Bill Medavie BlueCross. If your benefits are with Medavie, please provide us with you Medavie card. We will take a copy and will submit on your behalf. Please be advised that most Medavie plans cover a percentage of the fees and the remainder will be charged to your card on file.
We can Direct Bill Greenshield. If your benefits are with Greenshield, please provide us with you Greenshield card. We will take a copy and will submit on your behalf.
**Please be advised that most City of Calgary employees DO NOT have coverage for counselling - Speak to your HR about including this coverage in your plan.
Please check your plan to see what is covered. If need be, we can provide a null receipt for you to submit to determine what coverage is available.
